The tallest Thai woman Nong Malee (24) died in Trat province on August, 26. Her height was 214 cm. As Khaosod reports, the probable cause of her death is high blood pressure. Earlier Nong Malee was treated in Bo Rai hospital with sore foot. Then she lost consciousness. Medics tried to reanimate Malee but unfortunately сannot save her life.
Malee Duangdee became famous in 2009 when she was recognized as the tallest teenage girl in the world. She kept this record till 2011. As of January, 16, 2009 her height was 208 cm (was measured by Guinnes Book representative).
Malee started to grow quickly at 9. When she became taller than all her classmates her parents started to worry and consulted a doctor. Tumor was found in girl’s brain and led to a hormonal imbalance. This tumor was removed two times. Malee constantly took expensive medications and finally lost her sight.
Man and Ji, Malee’s parents faced unusual problems with her funeral. Standard adult coffin length is 185 cm so they had to order special size coffin for her.
Also the length of mortuary shelves is 200 cm. Before placing Malee’s body on it doctors had to bend her legs.
