29-year old Russian woman died in Phuket hospital few days after she was hit by motorbike.
Last Friday (January 13) about 10 p.m. Karon Police was informed about motorbike accident on Patak Road. After arriving on the scene police officers and rescuers from Kusoldham found unconscious 29-year old Liudmila Griaznova lying on the pavement. Witnesses said Russian woman crossed the road near the On-Lee Restaurant (7.8481113,98.29615) and was hit by Thai man on motorbike.
Woman was rushed to Vachira Hospital but succumbed to her injures after 3 days. As Pol. Col Weerayut Thansirisookworakun told “The Phuket News” (Russian edition), Lyudmila died on January 16 and her relatives had already organized the repatriation of her body to Russia.
41-year old motorbike driver Somsak Nom-Muang was charged of causing death by reckless driving.
